On Monday afternoon, Kelvin Sampson, Head Coach of the University of Houston’s Men’s Basketball Team, sent out a tweet in which he asked teams across the country to send basketball gear to him to help out with Hurricane Harvey, which ripped through Houston over the weekend.

In the tweet, which came in the form of a photo, he asked for teams and coaches to send 20 shirts and 10 pairs of shoes from their team gear to help clothe those displaced by the Hurricane. The tweet reached hundreds of schools across the country, who each sent clothing to help out.
The Fort Hays State University Athletics department got a hold of this tweet and sent some of their own gear to help out with the relief effort.
