Cedar Bluff State Park is teaming up with the Trego County Sheriff’s Office to do a Bike Rodeo for youth grade-schoolers. The event will be from 9 AM – 11 AM on September 24th and will teach children bicycle safety so that they will be better prepared to take on the roadways. This includes bike and helmet checks as well as obstacle courses. The day will finish with a trail ride to the BMX course.
“September 24th is National Bike in your Park Day and throughout the year we see many of our guests and their children not using proper bike safety,” Amber McLaughlin, Administrative Specialist at Cedar Bluff said. “We want to help educate people so that we can reduce the chance of accidents here in our park.”
All participants need to bring their bike and their helmet. Best thing about the day: All participants will be put into a drawing for a chance to win a new bike.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Vehicle permits are still required to get into the park and may be purchased at registration.
